Domestic house spiders are also called funnel-web spiders, meaning they construct flat webs which have a funnel shaped retreat at one end. It is usually these males or young spiders that are seen by homeowners.
The domestic house spider does not have a dangerous bite. Some species of spider are poisonous and presence of spiders in food manufacturing areas is not allowed that is why they are needed to be controlled.
