Phorid Fly

Scientific Name: Phoridae spp
Phorid flies are a family of small humped-back flies resembling fruit flies 
Phorid flies can often be identified by their escape habit of running rapidly across a surface rather than flying. This behavior is a source of one of their alternate names, scuttle fly. Another vernacular name is the coffin fly because they breed in human corpses.
From the diverse Diptera (True Flies) Family Phoridae hence we are not using their specific scientific names as this requires taxonomic works like the drain fly.
Phorid flies mostly feed on decaying organic matter and frequent unsanitary places such as drain pipes.
They can transport various disease-causing organisms to food items.
